About Me

Taylor Saunders is a Boston-based visual artist. Taylor's studio practice relies heavily on her empathetic and emotional connection to the world and a deep care for the people who surround her. At the core of Taylor's work is a passion for community and the power to be seen wholly through one's artwork. Taylor's abstract work speaks to the ability of color, line, and shape to transcend words and speak to the human experience. While her representational landscapes and portraits capture fleeting, heartfelt moments in time.

Taylor is a practicing art therapist and teaching artist working with children and adolescents. Taylor holds licenses as a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). Taylor earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Specialization in Art Therapy from Lesley University. Taylor previously earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Therapy from Endicott College. She has also studied at Florence University of the Arts in Florence, Italy, where she began her explorations in abstract painting. She has been exhibited in Endicott College’s Art Therapy exhibition, Endicott College’s Student Invitational, 1968: Where Have All The Flowers Gone? in Florence, Italy, and a solo exhibit in her hometown’s city hall as Methuen, Ma’s Artist of the Month. Pursuing her education and career in Art Therapy and Art Education is a way in which Taylor is able to combine her love of art and people.
